HEVILANE CAMPAIGN

As pharmacy department we are involved in the educational and professional development of the future pharmacist. As part of the pharmacist's future role public awareness is crucial for the improvement of public's health and prevention of disease development. Hevilane is an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of early detection of breast cancer. It shows the importance of screening using mammogram to prevent breast cancer or catch it where treatment is most effective. Hevilane Campaign involves the production of a keychain made up of beads of various sizes, where each bead present a sizes of tumor a mammogram can detect. All keychains are hand made by 15 pharmacy students, the vent design, theme and arrangement for the day is also carried out by the students.
